The International Genetics Congress, held in a large downtown hotel, is an opportunity for ambitious Julie Després to sign some lucrative contracts with multinational corporations for her private fertility clinic. Between her hotel room and her kiosk in the media spotlight, her dream comes true: Tom, her lover, an internationally famous musician, is staying at the same hotel. Genevieve, Julie's sister and the real brains behind the private clinic, does not approve of Julie's ambitions. Genevieve learns that the man she has always dreamed about is actually her sister's lover, and by a strange combination of circumstances she also finds out that Tom has a medical problem that she could cure with genetic engineering. She then gets the idea, which through a series of real and symbolic interventions, will bring about the monstrous solution to her frustrations, secret desires and broken dreams. The story recalls the birth of Frankenstein, a chimera invented by intellectual genius and its twin, ambition.
